About Microbial Management Systems

Howard Wildman is chief scientist at Microbial Management Systems. He has a BSc (Hons), majoring in botany, from Monash University, and a PhD in fungal ecology from the University of Calgary, Canada.

He has extensive experience in the monitoring of and isolation of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi in terrestrial and aquatic habitats and their growth and fermentation on both liquid and solid substrates.

Prior to establishing Microbial Management Systems, he worked for over twenty years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in the United Kingdom and Australia, with companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, AMRAD and Cerylid Biosciences.

For the past 16 years Microbial Management Systems has provided independent microbiology testing and advice for mining companies, farmers and horticulturists, fertilizer and compost suppliers, and golf courses.
